Thursday 30th January 2025 was a special day for us at Antioch. Because, in partnership with St Philip’s Chapel Street Salford, we launched our 10th Network Church in Oldham.

Bishop Matthew Porter, Bishop of Bolton, commissioned Michelle Delaney as an Evangelist and Church Leader for Connect Church, as they held their first official meeting at Costa Coffee in central Oldham, in the ODEON building. After the event at which we heard powerful stories of lives being changes by the Gospel, and at which Bishop Matthew preached, Michelle confirmed that 2 x new people prayed to became Christians on the night!

In a world that often seems dominated by bad news, this is genuinely a good news story. Connect Church leader Michelle has a dramatic story of her own of coming to faith, and she had this to say about the new church plant:
"It was buzzing with the excitement that Jesus was in the house setting People Free"
Rev Dan Cook, our future Estates Director, was 1 of those also present at the Launch, and he had this to say:
"Seeing people meet and connect with Jesus is the best thing! And it's happening at Connect Church Oldham. People of all sorts of backgrounds, full of all sorts of brokenness, finding life in Jesus. Praise God!"
Antioch Network Manchester is an initiative of the Anglican Diocese of Manchester, and currently we have 10 Network Churches spread across Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford and Bolton. 3 key things that we do are:
1. We train and equip leaders and teams, pre-launch
2. We coach and support leaders and teams. post-launch3. We partner with other networks, churches and leaders to maximise impact
