"We are a family church who welcome everyone. We meet on a Sunday afternoon in the lounge area of St Philip's Community Centre, where we learn about Jesus and have lively music, prayers, fun videos, quizzes and children's activities.
Everyone is welcome, and we are always looking for people to come along and help out."

Together with Trinity Baptist we put on 'Messy Church' every half term at Radcliffe Primary School, a fun and lively time where we hear stories of Jesus and have lots of crafts, singing, story videos and a quiz, followed by a party tea.
Once a month on a Sunday evening we have 'The Sanctuary' where we bring together the teaching of mindfulness with prayers of healing and passages from the Bible. It is a place to find peace, inner healing and strength from God.

This Autumn Antioch has had several baptisms and reaffirmations of baptismal vows recently. This includes the reaffirmation service, pictured below, which was held in Radcliffe and involved Dave, a member of Emmanuel Community Church.

Pictured - Rev Ben Woodfield and Julie Macauley, Emmanuel Community Church Radcliffe leader, with Dave as he reaffirmed his baptismal vows.
Emmanuel Community Church hired a local Baptist building for this special event.

Julie Macauley, Emmanuel’s Church Plant Leader, shares some of the story so far…
“In January 2020 we started to meet monthly at the local Community Centre on the estate. We held monthly gatherings during Jan, Feb and March 2020, then Lockdown started”.
During Lockdown Julie recorded short 'Word for the Day' videos which Emmanuel Community watched together on Sunday evenings on Facebook. Julie also ran a CAP Job Club online and an online Wellbeing course. She distributed food parcels and stayed in touch with all the Emmanuel and Job Club regulars. When allowed they met together for home groups in gardens and picnics in the park.
After Lockdown Emmanuel began to meet in person at Radcliffe Primary School. The Job Club also met physically at the school in the evenings, Then in April 2023 Emmanuel moved to St Philip's Community Centre, meeting on a Sunday afternoon in their comfortable lounge area.
In Autumn 2024, working with Trinity Baptist, they began 'Messy Church' at Radcliffe Primary, which is very popular and there are lots of regular families who come each month.
At that time we also started 'The Sanctuary' a quiet peaceful space on a Sunday evening, meeting monthly in the St Philip's lounge area.
We no longer run the CAP Job Club, but we do put on the CAP Money Management course two or three times a year.
What’s Emmanuel’s biggest need? It’s definitely “people!" Emmanuel is a Fresh Expression of Church, which aims to be accessible and welcoming to all people, particularly for those with no church background, or for those with extra needs. So for that we need more people to be part of Julie’s Core Team. Click here is you want to know more
