Resource Library

This is a resource library aimed at church planters, their launch teams and their core teams. This combines some of the most helpful material, guidance and inspiration we have found for this audience and is from people experienced in starting sustainable churches steeped in prayer and mission.

The Joshua Centre

The Joshua Centre has developed tonnes of experience in this area as part of the Diocese of Liverpool's overall plan for the city region, and we are pleased to recommend them.

You can click here for their website or else follow them on Twitter.

How to build a prayer

culture within a church

The Bible says that unless "the Lord builds the house, the workers labour in vain". Church planting must be steeped in prayer, and so here are some great resources on building the culture of prayer, from the 24:7 Prayer Network.

To run a "non-boring prayer meeting", click on this link. Or to do a course built on the Lord's Prayer, click here.

Antioch has a housing estate church planting stream as well as an ethically diverse planting stream, and so developing people with keen cross-cultural awareness is crucial to our success in reaching people from different language and cultural groups. With 40 years experience of cross-cultural mission, Ross and Christine Patterson have developed a brand new resource to equip Christians reach those from different cultural backgrounds with the Gospel. Wise words for planting churches on housing estates

Leonce Crump is the leader of Renovations Church in the US, and he explains how he and his team prayer walk the neighbourhoods where they're based and listen to the community, to be able to serve it effectively. This is similar to our approach to planting, especially in how we aim to plant churches on housing estates.

What people say...
Since being part of church I’ve got people I can rely on, they are my family. Jesus has done that for me and he’s been there even when I haven’t known him.
